1. What With Jess Is

With Jess ("the Service") is an AI-powered spiritual companion application. Jess provides:

• Conversational support grounded in 12-step principles
• Spiritual reflection and guidance
• Tools for journaling, gratitude, and self-reflection
• Memorial Mode for honoring loved ones and life review

2. What With Jess Is NOT

With Jess is not a substitute for:

• Professional mental health treatment or therapy
• Medical advice or diagnosis
• Crisis intervention services
• Addiction treatment or rehabilitation
• Licensed counseling

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a crisis helpline or emergency services immediately.

3. Who Can Use With Jess

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
• If you are under 18, you should have parental consent
• Jess Jr. (coming soon) is designed for ages 8-15 with parental oversight

4. How You Should Use With Jess

You agree to:

• Use the Service for personal spiritual growth and reflection
• Treat Jess (and our team) with respect
• Not attempt to manipulate, exploit, or extract Jess's underlying systems
• Not use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Not share your account with others

5. How Jess Works

Jess is powered by artificial intelligence. This means:

• Responses are generated by AI models, not written by humans in real-time
• Jess may occasionally make mistakes or provide imperfect responses
• Jess learns from user interactions to improve over time
• All AI development follows our CFGAI (Council for Good AI) ethical principles

6. Memory and Wisdom Keepers

When you share stories about people in your life:

• Jess may offer to remember them as "Wisdom Keepers"
• Wisdom Keepers are based only on what you share — Jess never invents information
• Jess does not claim to speak for or channel deceased individuals
• All Wisdom Keeper responses are clearly labeled as reflections of what you've shared

7. Subscriptions and Payments

• Free tier includes 20 minutes daily with limited features
• Plus ($8/month) includes 60 minutes daily, voice mode, and more
• Premium ($25/month) includes unlimited time and all features
• Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled
• You can cancel anytime through your account settings

8. Our Commitment to You

We commit to:

• Never selling your personal data
• Maintaining ethical AI development practices
• Being transparent about how Jess works
• Continuously improving based on user feedback
• Working toward making With Jess free for everyone (our long-term mission)

9. Limitation of Liability

With Jess is provided "as is." We are not liable for:

• Decisions you make based on conversations with Jess
• Emotional distress related to use of the Service
• Technical issues or service interruptions
• Content generated by AI that may be inaccurate or inappropriate

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
